The Ping G400 driver will however help increase your club head speed – at least more than the Epic Flash will. While there is a tungsten weight in the back of the head to increase MOI and ball speed, launch is pretty low. If you rely on carry distance to get down the fairway though, the Ping G400 probably isn’t a good match for you. The Ping G400 certainly felt wieldy in the hands and controlled throughout our swings. Launch is a bit low though and you have to be pretty accurate with it to get max distance. It also has a 16 gram sliding rear weight so it can help cover up your left and rightward miss. It feels lightweight on your back and downswing and it is not inconceivable that it would be able to increase club head speed for many players. These bars are meant to stabilize the head which increases MOI which should increase forgiveness and distance. Like the Ping G400 though, there are internal bracing bars in the Callaway Epic Flash driver. The Callaway Epic Flash sports some real nice features like a carbon fiber crown and an AI-designed face.
